BIOGRAPHY

Jody Bagley is a southern California-based Keyboardist/Vocalist and international recording and touring artist. He began his performing career in Maine at the age of 6, performing professionally throughout many parts of the world before turning 12 years old. Upon moving to San Diego, CA in 2007, Jody has become an in-demand session musician and hired gun, playing and recording with dozens of artist and bands throughout Southern California. 

Jody has performed and recorded with artists Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses / Velvet Revolver), Ron Blair (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Todd Morse (The Offspring), Don Stevenson (Moby Grape), Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Jay Buchanan (Rival Sons), Tom “Bones” Malone (The Blues Brothers Band / Paul Shaffer and the World’s Most Dangerous Band), “Blue” Lou Marini (The Blues Brothers Band / James Taylor), Nick St. Nicholas (Steppenwolf), Greg Douglass (Steve Miller Band), Burleigh Drummond (Ambrosia), Mojo Morganfield (Muddy Waters’ youngest son), Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers / Michael Jackson), Earl Slick (John Lennon / David Bowie), Jerry Raney (The Beat Farmers), Hattie Webb (Leonard Cohen / David Gilmour), Willie Chambers (The Chambers Brothers), Don Randi (The Wrecking Crew), Jack Tempchin (Hall of Fame Songwriter), Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan), Albert Lee (Eric Clapton), Marc Ford (The Black Crows / Lucinda Williams), Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks), Severo (The Smithereens), Jim Keltner (George Harrison), Laura Chavez (International Blues Guitarist), Roy Orbison Jr., Judy Collins, Sylvia Tyson, Earl Thomas, Jeff Silbar, and many more. He has also opened for artists Smash Mouth, Switchfoot, Tower of Power, Melvin Seals & The Jerry Garcia Band, Robert Randolph, Powerman 5000, and the Plain White T’s.

In addition to performing with the San Diego Award winning Rock and Roll band, Mrs. Henry, Jody also tours internationally with Chest Fever - The Official Revival of The Band, which received the blessing of Robbie Robertson before his passing. Jody fronts the soul/funk group JB & The Movers, and plays with #1 Billboard Blues Artist, Whitney Shay. He also performs regularly with San Diego Pop singer Cassie B, and plays in the House Band for the MLB team, the San Diego Padres.

Jody is a collector of vintage keyboards, owning and using dozens of pianos and synthesizers from the 1970’s. A long time composer and songwriter, Jody released his debut album, Burn, in 2019 and has written music for television and films. He also serves as the Music Director for the Unity Church of El Cajon, California. Jody has been featured in Rolling Stone, Rolling Stone Mexico, Spin Magazine, Relix Magazine, Playboy Mexico, The San Diego Troubadour and on KeyboardMag.com, and is an Official Hammond Artist.
